dugiskull 0
got out to the range with the AK handguard conversion i did earlier, cut the retainer ring in half and JB weld, it did NOT hold, it broke apart after 50 rounds. sooooooo had to send it to a gunsmith to press off FSB and gas block, install retainer, and reinstall FSB and gas block, and refinish. price tag, $150. oh well, at least it looks like an AK now. cant complain! i will get pics soon
NedPepper 0
Who did the work for you? I'm going to give it one..just one attempt. I have my parts located but I'm not feeling too confident about getting that darn FSB back on and aligned correctly. I just got done re-installing a new FSB on a Romanian sar(guess why ) Talk about getting ugly-yeesh. I need better methods and better tools if I'm going to tinker. The new sight didn't come with the sight barrel and post installed and I swear I pushed that thing back and forth 10x before I got it lined up right. The sight post with it's spread apart bottom was fun too.
