I have the AKML and like it, it's extremely light, well made and does what it's supposed to do which is mount 30mm tube optics. It will allow many optics to cowitness with the rear sight on 3, can be centered directly over the receiver and seems to stand up to hard use pretty well. I use mine on the flickering dot PK02/PK23 and am happy with it.

Well, if you say it's a nice mount then I'll have to get one now! Thanks for the reply. I'll have to wait for the RMR mount to be released sometime in the future, they said.

TX-Zen has the AKM, AKML is for Aimpoint Micro optics

I was thinking about getting that, but I'm not a big fan of tube optics. I'm more familiar with the RMR view. Especially since it's not in a scout formation.

 

But I'll see if the AKMS is out by the time I'm ready to buy.

I like it on my Saiga 308, but I removed it from my 5.45 because the lever would poke my hand uncomfortably whenever I used a mag hold. Not an issue on the 308.

 

My gun was at the gunsmith for some correction for a while, and I'm only now able to shoot it regularly. I'm wanting to make sure the mount will stand up to the 308 recoil long term without the clamp loosening.
