Limeybastard 4
Went to the range today and tried to zero in my father in laws posp 4x24 on his. Saiga 7.62 at 100'yards. The thing would shoot too high, on the lowest setting to still shot too high and wouldn't make a paper hit. Any ideas ? Maybe a duff unit from Kalinka?
TX-Zen 287
The turret will give about 3/4 turn with the top two screws in place, if you loosen them or carefully remove them you get about 1 + 3/4 turn. Edited September 9, 2012 by TX-Zen
Jaba1017 71
What he said loosen the screws drop the POA and then tighten back. Don't let the screws fall out. You might want to just loosen the screws, turn the calibrated band putting 6 where zero use to be and then tighten back before you start shooting. Then you can bring your POI/POA into alignment and readjust the calibrated band as needed. You can test the scope by moving your POA up/down, right/left, and seeing if your POI moves accordingly. If it doesn't you have a bum scope or a bum rifle or a bum technique.
Limeybastard 4
Jaba, shall I just have him first test up down and left right to see if it even adjusts poi? Personally I would have tested it first at 25 or 50 yards before attempting to zero new scope on 100 yard range. Which was frustrating.
