ManOnTheHIll 13
I'm on my 2nd scope mount that sits too far to the right. My most recent try is the Kalika BP02 and it sits .2 inches to the right of dead center. Is this normal? I would think you would want your scope as close to dead center of the barrel as possible. .2 inches is a little too much to adjust with metal shims in the two places where the screws attach the upper part of the mount to the lower part of the mount. My receiver measures anywhere from 1.37 inches wide to 1.42 inches wide, depending on where I measure. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
ChileRelleno 7,071
Very common for the side mount rails & optics to be off center.
ManOnTheHIll 13
10 4 Thanks for the info. Any suggestions for how to set it up ie: little corrections or ways to aim slightly off or just zero it in as if it were aligned dead center? Thanks! P.S. - I love your profile pic/video. ChileRelleno 7,071
Zero it as if dead center, works for Ivan. I do believe there are one or two side mounts which claim to mount dead center. Or get a dust cover rail. TWS Dog Leg Rail, either Gen1 or Gen2 Gen2, http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/servlet/-strse-1149/TWS--DOG-LEG/Detail A little expensive, but well worth every penny, the Gen1 is a Over the Cover, Gen2 incorporates the rail onto the dust cover. I've the Gen1 on my Saiga.308-ver.21 Or Krebs Custom, AK rear sight receiver rail system Very expensive at $300+ new, well designed and built. http://www.krebscustom.com/ProductLine/Rail_System-AssembledLocked.shtml Lightly used one for sale, $250. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/80826-wtswtt-aksaiga-as-well-as-some-non-ak-bits-from-parts-bin/
