Ammo testing 147gr vs. 182gr

Recommended Posts

I shot 60 rounds of 147gr surplus and 60 rounds 182gr surplus (yellow tip).

All went well till.. I should have checked each round.. jammed going into battery thank goodness.. left a light scratch in the chamber..

Needless to say I was pis*ed.. appears to be a steel pin.. WTF?!?

I didn't have to change the sights all even (for the 100 yard mark) with the new Comp/Brake installed.

Heres the 147 at 100 yards. volley #1

In the 2nd volley sets I noticed that I got 20 shots for the 182gr on paper on only 18 for the 147gr.

Mind the fact we had very gusty winds around 20 mph today..

I feel the 182gr shoots a little tighter when barrel is cold than the 147gr..

I shot the same 4-5" groups today with irons.. (no scope yet)

The wind and flyers did not help for this testing.. still thinks shes 2 MOA though..

I just kept banging the trigger since the ammo is cheap.. 022.gif

I did a short video I will put up shortly..

The new stock fit me better for LOP and the JP Cooley was AWESOME to cut the kick

The new VEPR G2 modified by Dinzag rocked as well.. just clicking away 100% great..
