Biff Stroganoff 1
Anyone know how long a Saiga rifle with a 16" barrel would be, with a folding stock attached and folded? Also, are there any folding stocks that permit the weapon to be fired without opening the stock?
Alexc.s. 25
The ACE Folding Stock Mechanism with AR-15 Stock Interface is what I use. Folds to the left so I can still use the controls with ease. When folded the over all length is just under 26".
Biff Stroganoff 1
Thank you. That's an extremely helpful answer. I figured people would chime in and tell me I was a moron if I wanted to shoot with the stock folded. I want the option of shooting that way, with a green laser. I LOVE my lasers, and I've had good results using a lasered Vz 58 without using the buttstock. It shoots 3" groups at 25 yards with no real effort, which seems more than adequate for self-defense situations. Trying to decide whether I want a short (not SBR short) Saiga, or a Yugo pistol. The pistol's flash concerns me.
vulcan16 971
My Draco is 20 inches, the extra 6inches of the Saiga folded is negligible . I have a 223 with a Romanian side folder that's really easy to hide, and fun as hell to shoot.
Biff Stroganoff 1
I just found out about the AMD65 folders that sell for $440. That might be the best way to go. I'm looking for a truck gun that doesn't cost a ton. I could skip the aggravation of converting a Saiga. Don't know if aftermarket parts fit, though. That thing that passes for a handguard is pretty lame.
