gunfun 3,931
Simmons makes a really good slug scope with a diamond reticle that is designed to be a simple range finder for slugs/buck. I have 2 and am very pleased with them. (though I only really use the variable power one.) They are made for ~5" of eye relief so there is no excuse for giving yourself scope kiss. https://www.google.com/search?q=simmons+pro-diamond+slug+scope&oq=simmons+pro-diamond+slug+scope&sugexp=chrome,mod=0&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 The 1.5-5x variable is very nice. I am in focus across the living room, or I can zoom in and clearly see my targets as far as slugs are useful. They aren't nearly as picky about perfect eye alignment as the russian optics I have tried. This means that you don't lose your visibility if you don't have a perfect cheek weld. Also the zoom knob is smooth enough that I can stay on target while zooming. That means you can start at maybe 2x to find your target, and zoom in if you have time to take a very careful shot. Many fancy scopes I have tried just about need a pipe wrench to turn the knob. I would recommend a light and low mount, either the belarus type low integral rings or the midwest industries low AK mount with low rings.
TX-Zen 287
+1 for Rakurs, mine has stayed zeroed for 1500 rounds of mixed high and low brass, slugs and 3" The eye relief can be sensitive at first but it's really nothing more than familiarity, with practice it's second nature. Lidocaine Looney 26
+1 Picked up my Rakurs off TX-Zen a while back and love it. I've put a couple hundred slugs and 00 through it without issue.
