Garys4598 1,065
What's up with your mag release lever? That appears to be quite the contraption (the lever, not your rifle).

A mag lock (bullet button for the AR folks in restrictive states) requires the use of a tool rather than the hand to remove the magazine!

Avtomot 5
ya it blows..im used to it now days but at first i hated it...and for the magazine..listen up people of california, it is not illegal to own or use high cap mags..it is illegal to buy, sell, or transfer from one party to the next..but ya that one in the pic holds 10... rnemhrd 165
But you can get parts to fix the ones you have, Totaly legal as long as not assembled and clearly labled magazine repaire kits I believe. I may be wrong, but thought I saw this. It's just finding the person that will ship it. Like pre ban mags to NY. Totaly legal, just some do not have the BALLS, or have enough money to not want the buisness. Edited October 30, 2012 by rnemhrd

It all goes really nice with the chaos forend, then also with the 74brake. Maybe get a regular ak gas tube next, it just makes the look of your chaos rail.Good shit. Good post and very true! One thing to add to CA residents, you cannot use your legaly owned +10 rounders in a maglocked rifle! If your rifle is what is known in CA as "featureless" you then CAN use the 10+ rounders in that rifle. For those of you outside of CA I know you are slapping your head at this post in confusion. There are ways here to follow the law and keep shooting, if you live in CA you realy should join Calguns dot net and ask questions to learn how to stay legal. Also help them out if you can those folks are trying as hard as the NRA(if not harder) and winning many battles her in CA. We did not get in this crap overnight and it won't be won over night. But inches lead to feet!
mogunner 240
The problems might be whether or not California COPS know whether or not a configuration is legal...most of the ones I had anything to do with when I lived out there were just as clueless as Joe Blow on the street... I'm confused... if you can't buy them, or have them transferred... than how would one ever HAVE one to use legally? It sounds like saying, "you can never buy, rent, borrow or own a car... but you can legally drive one" haha Ah.. California.
mostholycerebus 415
.Whats up ar fans? Aint got sht on me. ................And yes..i am in California. Yer in Cali? Cool, lets go for a hike, you bring yer saiga ill bring my 5lb AR15. Well see which you like better after a few miles. Rifle looks great, but I would just get a 10 or 20 round mag. I think they look better anyways, more sleek, and that way yer not carrying useless weight. How is the bullet button function? Some of the AR guys say they change mags even faster with the tool than by hand. I believe the deal in cali is you can manufacture your own 30rnd mags, if you can find the parts, but not buy or sell them. Which seems counterintuitive. You would think Cali would rather know who has these high cap mags, rather than force them to use completely untracable means.
Bigtwin 219
.Whats up ar fans? Aint got sht on me. ................And yes..i am in California. How is the bullet button function? . You need a "tool" bullet tip or otherwise to release the mag. Yes they can be released as fast as your finger. I believe the deal in cali is you can manufacture your own 30rnd mags, if you can find the parts, but not buy or sell them. Which seems counterintuitive. You would think Cali would rather know who has these high cap mags, rather than force them to use completely untracable means. NO you CANNOT manufacture a 10+ round magazine. You can use any round mag you had before the Ban in 2000(sucks for those younger folks that did not own them prior to 2000)! Unless they did have possesion prior to 2000. Also if you have a "maglock", you cannot use a 10+ round mag in it! If your rifle is "featureless", No pistol grip(that is done by a grip wrap), no flash hider, then the rifle is considered "featureless" and you can use your 10+ round mags in that rifle. Ther is a small bit more to it in CA but it can be done legally, just some hoops to jump through. I know many of you living in Free states are shaking your head at this post(and I understand why). If you live here it is not as complicated as my post but still sucks. CA residents all I ask is get educated not arrested! OH and Mogunner....The LEO in CA now know the laws....thanks to the Calguns foundation and their lawyers and court cases. Edited November 3, 2012 by Bigtwin
