dinzag 31 Posted October 19, 2005 Report Share Posted October 19, 2005 Yes, very nice! I just helped my buddy do the front end on his 7.62 from a 1970's AK parts kit (Romanian) he bought for $80. The gas tube dropped right in. The hardest part was pressing off the FSB & GB but that only took 10 minutes. If you didn't want to mess with that you can split the retainer. Aside from the $40 he spent on the FCG & PG, most of the parts came out of the parts kit. Good job! Looks so much better with that front end! Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I went the split retainer route. I have to say my Dremel Fu was particularly good on this one. The stock and grip are US made Kvar. I have a E. German folder I think I may put on. I put US made floorplates on all my mags, so I will still be in compliance (G2 trigger=3 parts, grip=1, flashhider=1, floorplate=1, total 6). Quote Link to post Share on other sites
