chevyman097 2,579
The inside of the gas block looks pretty nasty. Do you guys scrub inside that thing? and what would be a good tool for doing so? Kind of an awkward angle.
thebuns1 4,323
I normally use a 20ga. bore mop with a patch wrapped around it for all my GB cleaning. Seems to work well.

chevyman097 2,579
An old toothbrush or brass brush. Ive got plenty of old tooth brushes and brass ones too. Do you use solvent like any other part of the weapon? And I assume I should let it all dry well before putting the puck back in.
Sergii 142
You'll laugh, but I use the powder for washing dishes. The gas block is cleared in 2 minutes. Just wipe it with a dry patch when you get it cleaned to your satisfaction.
alternety 7
You should probably try to get some politically incorrect powder. The new stuff without phosphorous is not nearly as good a cleaner. Get commercial powder. It still has phosphates. Yes I use it for dishes. No it does not go into a public sewer or stream. Yes it works better. What is even worse about the change, the phosphates could be captured at sewage plants and recycled. It is a vital element for plant growth and there is a fairly small and finite supply in the entire planet. End of off topic meander.

Sergii 142
You CLEAN your AK? Twice. First time after purchase, and once before you throw in the trash.
