thebuns1 4,323
I take it they use the same mounting band on the barrel that the factory one uses?
SGM 217
they basically slide on (with assistance from a rubber mallet) and use the same sling swivel screw from the take off handguard.

tnmarktx 14
So I purchased the rail, and it looks good. However, I got a question, how do you use the swing swivel screw to attach the rail? I've tried re using the whole swivel and it does not appear to fit down inside the rail. I decided to just use the screw and it bottoms out and will not secure the rail to the rifle.
SGM 217
sorry for the late reply for some reason I just didn't see the post. If you take off the wood hand guard you will notice a thin oval washer, a nut with slots cut and a sling swivel which inserts into the slots. Just use the nut with the sling swivel inserted in the slots and screw to reattach, you can discard the oval thin washer if you don't plan on using the wooden handguard again.
