Im looking into geting one and just wondering a few things about it.

 

1. Is the magwell removable?

 

2. Is the picitiny rail removable ( if so will it leave some holes in the dust cover)?

 

3. Do they accept PSO type scope mounts?

1. Is the magwell removable? Everything is removable, but that doesn't mean it will be easy.

 

2. Is the picatinny rail removable ( if so will it leave some holes in the dust cover)? Yep, holes in the dust cover and potentially an issue with the hinge, but it can be done. How good are you at welding thin sheetmetal, crushing rivets, and fabricating small parts?

 

3. Do they accept PSO type scope mounts? They have no side mounting location, but that doesn't mean you can't add one. I would sooner just use the factory rail.

I just read in another topic that you can have a special order from the factory without a picatinny rail. If this is true will they send single units out of the factory.

Its not likely you will find a vendor that is willing to go to the trouble of doing that. First off they will have to get to the importer and find out if they will order one on their next shipment in. But hey, no harm in trying.

 

Try asking Atlantic firearms they are pretty good about staying up to speed around here.
