Simple 922r on the 16" V2 Vepr

Recommended Posts

I'm done for now, at least until I have some more fun money. Keeping this one simple. I put in a Tapco G2 trigger assembly, bullet guide, flash suppresor, and Bulgy Cirlce 10 with US floor plates.

Broke my tap on this one, not suprising really, so I had to punch it out. Decided rather than buying another tap I'd go the route of using a steel rivet. Took about 5 minutes for the rivet vs. 30 minutes or so to tap it. Think I'll be using the rivet method from here on out. Should be pretty handy for the couple of firends I'm going to help on their Vepr's.

I can't recall off hand who mentioned the rivet method, but I picked up on it, and man I like it. Thank you for a great tip!

Here's a pic.

They look so good with hi caps and the thumbhole stock. big_smile.gif I never tried the rivet method. Keep us posted to see how it works out in the longer duration of things. Were you able to get a long enough rivet to bite on the other side of the trunnion? .

I tried a 6mm long and it was too long. Moved to the 3mm long and it works perfect. The 3mm passes through and is long enough the get a good flare.

The high cap mags and flash suppreser makes it look like an AK.

I wouldn't mind seing pictures of both sides of the installed rivet if its not too much of a hassle.
