As I mentioned, I destroyed the front sight base on my Vepr 308. I am now looking to either purchase a replacement or find some kind of solution except for having to do any welding on the gas block. I have not been able to find the part for this. Does anyone know where to get one.

I don't have pictures. I basically cut it up and threw it away.
It looks like Black Horse Arsenal makes one but is cost 115.

Well it seems that i will be without a FSB for a while. So I have decided on a 4x27 scope side mounted and a quick reflex scope on a rail that replaces the rear sight.

I did see some steel FSBs for AKs listed on Ebay a bit ago. They are listed for "airsoft" rifles mainly due to ebay's rabid anti-gun policy. Typically anything referring to an "assault rifle", gets removed. Search AK front sight or AK sight. They clamp on using a set of screws, but you may be able to also use more permanent methods. Good luck.

Thanks I will try that search.

I did measure the barrel at the FSB and it measures .610.  I was lead to believe that the RPK-018 found here,...  has the Overall Diameter of .061, anyone know if that is the case.?  Or anyone know where I can find a FSB with the O. D. of .610?

I know this is a bit of thread necromancy but oh well.  If you're still looking for a FSB, Dinzag appears to be making them.  http://dinzagarms.co...2x39/akfsb.html .  I haven't tried them for the Vepr specifically but I have one on my Saiga 12 that works just fine.

My spoon is too big.
