theorangeplanet 968
I had sent a couple of surplus mags back to Classic Arms that I had received damaged and got my replacements today. One of them has a really strange... attachment, welded on the front. Looks like some sort of lanyard loop or something. Any ideas? Seen one before??

DrThunder88 912
Maybe it was a gun shop's bathroom key fob, like those long sticks gas stations put on theirs. On the other hand, it is a prime place for ornamentation. I suggest fuzzy dice.

csspecs 1,987
Looks like the "spot welds" are done with a cutting torch and center punch. Which explains the discolored finish on the rest of the mag. This would have been done to prevent the loss of the magazine much like the Finnish and Russian lanyard loop floor plates. Probably done by a couple soldiers.
