Amani74 9
Hi guys, It seems like a dun goofed up! The below are 4 keepshooting plastic mags that I tried to get to fit in my Saiga 12, but I'm sure you can see I suck with tools. My question is is there any way that I can fix them or did I completely goof up? Thanks bros!
scoutjoe 276
Pictures #2 and #3 look like they might still work. The ones right after that would have to be some sort of re-weld deal to get them back to spec, if at all. Only thing I can think is to have them be magazine bodies to weld onto another mag. Almost nobody does that anymore though since the 10 rd sticks came out. Looks like ya got a paperweight or two
rnemhrd 165
I'm not sure if you can plastic weld, or something like that to get them to hold for range mags. Edited December 13, 2012 by rnemhrd
Squishy 1,149
Wow..#4 and #5 look hosed for sure. I have three Keep Shooting 5 round mags and they're some of the best fitting mags I have and I did nothing to them to get them to fit. Of course all S-12s are not created equal but it's amazing you'd have to go as far as you did. At $11.95 each it's not a huge loss though...
csspecs 1,987
What was the problem that you took that much off? Was it not clicking in or not going all the way in?
bruce soderholm 4
I have a MD drum tab welded by MD Arms and it has held up fine.
corbin 621
I haven't tried it, but what about some type of epoxy putty to build the tabs back up? No idea if it would hold up though.
RED333 1,025
I will give ya 5 dollars each for the messed up mags, if ya want to sell them. If I can get them fixed I will sell them back to ya. I would drill 3 or 4 holes, use some good epoxy, holes will help it hold onto the mag, then file to get the fit. Amani74 9
@ scoutjoe: Thanks man I have just been holding on to the springs. @ rnemhrd: I was not sure that such a thing existed. I’ll look into it! @ Squishy: Lucky, but yeah your right it not a huge loss at all! @ csspecs: I was a noob! @ RED333: In box me you have a deal! I have no real want to get them back. I have a few working mags now.
