Bghoo8313 0
Looking into getting another Saiga rifle in 7.62x39. Where is the cheapest place to get them on the Internet these days?
Spetnaz Soldier 47
You will be extremely lucky if you can find them at all right now. I just picked one up from my local gun shop for around 450. I thiink RWC Group is the exporter for saigas now. If you can get one for 550 or under I would jump all over it. Good luck. rnemhrd 165
Just saying. Looks bad a minor on a gun forum asking where to buy a cheap Saiga online. Worse with whats going on in the news. Maybe dad should be looking or it should be worded different.Where can my father find me a Saiga, I guess would be better. Just looking out for the group here. Sorry if I'm wrong. Edited December 17, 2012 by rnemhrd
Bghoo8313 0
I'm 19 going on 20. And if you read the original post it said "another Saiga". I understand where the concern is coming from. Edited December 17, 2012 by Bghoo8313
mostholycerebus 415
There are no cheap saigas right now. With saiga prices being what they are now, IMO they are just another option now rather than a compelling buy. So I guess, get one if you really want a Saiga, but if you just want another rifle, its worth shopping other options. Hell, you can assemble a decent AR15 for less than a saiga now. Bghoo8313 0
I was planning on buying the basic sporter model, and slowly converting it as I can pay for it

mostholycerebus 415
I was planning on buying the basic sporter model, and slowly converting it as I can pay for it Hard to find nowadays. Alot of them got bought up by people who converted to sell. If youre 17, thats old enough for federal 'pound me in the ass' prison. I strongly suggest avoiding a straw purchase. mostholycerebus 415
any saiga or ak is better than an AR15......period. Any hammer is better than any wrench? There are lots of places id rather have my 5# AR than my AK. There are places id rather have my AK. Depends on the need and perceived requirements.
mcbugas 0
I've been stalling on buying one over the past two years and have sadly seen the price rise as I waver further. Everybody is out of stock or price-gouging for obvious reasons right now. If you want to buy on the web, go to gunbroker and cry at what they used to cost. Considering other gun options and prices though, I think it's still worth the cost. You might not be converting for a while.
Spikester 93
I looked at GB and stock un-modified Saiga's are going in the $700 range, unbelieveable!

jimmy21 18
factory unconverted seem to be going for about 700ish right now. How much are converted ones going for?
armory 142
Even WASR's are selling privately for around $800 in my area. Every one I have seen on Armslist doesn't stay up for more than a day.
CageFighter 0
i have (2) unconverted BNIB. would only part with them for $800 ea to buy a new optic.
killbill 1
If WASR 's are going for 800 now an unconverted Saiga is worth $1000 at this time. Dont sell em. They could easily triple that by 2014 if we have seen the last of the legal shipments from Russia forever and our ban goes into effect along with the UN small arms treaty.
