billdozer 6
Trying to keep a original ak look on this one. Ended up shaving the import marks & patch, modified the safety, cut the extra long fsb pins and filled the trigger holes. Just dropped it off for Duracoat. Going black with Russian redwood. Only piece I'm up in the air about is the CSS retainer. Edited December 18, 2012 by billdozer

billdozer 6
Well went to pick this thing up over a month later and half of the gun wasnt even coated. The guy ended up keeping another week to respray. I showed up to pick it up and the finish looked awful. If local to Ohio, Please do not deal with Precision Engagement. I will be dropping off this weekend to another company and hopefully this time it will go much better. Its sad how hard it is to find quality service.
Sunset_Va 2
Your experience in vendors is why I learned to do refinishing with various spray on finishes. Years ago , I sent a pistol to a well known plating company, had to get a lawyer to get it back, and when it was finally returned, the slide had been buffed lopsided prior to plating...no mention of reimbursement, etc. If you have stripped it down that far, you should have sent it to a well known vendor if you couldn't do the work yourself, just make sure you have all the parts you want refinished before shipping, but sorry you had a bad encounter with your AK parts.
