presto_z 125
If you watch the video it looks like an s12 with a dragunov style stock.. Can anyone verify this? similar to this one
Superhawk138 202
That's what it looks like also looks like a 8 or 10 round mag laying in the trunk too.
theorangeplanet 968
One NYT article I read said there was a "high-tech Russian shotgun known as a Saiga" in the trunk... but no confirmation otherwise. Could be a 12, or a 20 for that matter. We'll just have to wait until the info is released.
cgculber 6
Saiga's are high tech?

cgculber 6
hahaha, yeah. I was listening to Diane Rehm show this morning, and one of her guests, an esteemed doctor, kept referring to these "ridiculous high-capacity 30 - round, automatic magazines" used in guns these days. Shankspony 40
I can't believe some of the responses to the video; down right ignorant.

D-H 20
The first time I saw that video and saw whoever was clearing it reach over to the right side of the gun and pull a charging handle, I knew it was some sort of AK variant. Can't tell for sure what type. The round that gets ejected does appear rather large though. The AR-15 is already getting blamed for all of America's problems, last thing we need is them going after Saigas as well. The average (non-gun owning) citizen has always had a negative disposition towards the AK platform as it is. It all goes back to fear and ignorance. Pausing the video at 0:10, that does look a lot like the standard Saiga 12 handguard. Edited December 20, 2012 by D-H
benelli 54
My definition of high capacity in the shotgun world is a 3" #1 buck shell. 24 nearly .30 cal pellets with each shot. One shotshell = 1 20 round clip. In the news world, High capacity refers to the amount of ignorance and hype spewed forth as Truth. Surely there are more educated people like us than them. OH wait, the leader of the Jackass Party was re-elected. Perhaps we are outnumbered.

sccritterkiller 473
Look at the first three seconds the light hits the mag just right and you can see him take the mag out...the way his hand is wrapped around the mag it has to be a S12 or S20..there is a lot of black between his each side of his hand. Saiga Saga 7
Sure looks like a Saiga 12 with a 10 rounder now that I watch it closely. At first I thought SKS with a aftermarcket duckbill mag. Fu***! Ar, Handgun, and now a Saiga. A gunbanners wet dream.
