chevyman097 2,579
Old news. Cerberus didnt have a "stake" in freedom group. It was the full out owner. It sold them, Cerberus is an investment group, nothing more. So why is it bad they sold something?
XD45 7,124
It's Bushmaster. The sale won't kill it. The ban might.

D-H 20
Was it ever confirmed that the AR-15 (allegedly) used by Lanza was even a Bushmaster? Either way I feel bad for the company, they are one of the big scapegoats the media pinned this on. Just hope I can get my hand on an ACR before things really go south for them. Dad2142Dad 6,559
Remember, the group selling it is in the business of making money. Do you really think their just gonna dump it for .50 of .25 cent on the dollar? I am sure there are companies out there offering that.
mostholycerebus 415
I'll bet someone just got Bushmaster for DIRT CHEAP. Good on em for not feeding into the hysteria.
BuffetDestroyer 969
After any bans, big companies will still produce weapons with the neutered features - it happened in '94 and is currently going on in California. If Bushmaster is outlawed by name, they can start under a new name like Big BM Maker or BaterMaster and they will be legal.

It has not been sold yet, takes awhile for that. The interesting part will be to see if the people who have requested that Cerberus sell it off, will take the large dividends that are a product of the recent buying. But that probably will not make it to the news, they'll just take those big checks and keep quiet. Have always been amazed how fast people jump off the high horse for money.
