Dave29379 0
I want to replace the FCG in my AK rifle I have bought one of the kits from tacpo but have no idea how to go about getting the old pins out or how to install the new pins and keep them tight? Can anyone help with this problem? Thanks Dave
Grau_Tek 0
is your rifle converted to pistol grip configuration? if so it is just a matter of detaching the wire retainer or eclips that hold the FCG pins in then popping them out if it is in stock form, the tapco set will do no good until u do the conversion here are some instructions for u: Saiga_Conversion_Instructions hope this helps Edited November 4, 2005 by Grau_Tek
SaigaShooter 0
If you are doing a conversion, drill out the old pins, and drift them out of the receiver. Use the FCG retaining plate (available at blackjack buffers among other places) to hold the new pins in place, it works better than reusing the spring, and then just plug the receiver holes with nylon or steel hole plugs.
