jtoddellis 2
I don't think anyone uses the rivit. You can drill all the way through the trunion. It's not very hard. I used a screw with a nut and som lock tight to hold mine on. I haven't had a problem yet. I tried to tap the hole, but I striped the threads out of it. I think there are people here who welded there bullet guide in.
Grau_Tek 0
ok so i made some calls and answered my own question: how to install bullet guide using rivet --- the trunnion must be off the receiver so the rivet may be crushed on both sides this of course entails drilling out and re-riveting the trunnion back into place - which is pretty much a bummer this also means refinishing the whole receiver - but if the old fcg holes are to be filled in properly - then whats the bfd i guess my new riveting jig will come in handy after all
Cobra 76 two 2,677
Man just tap the trunion and be done with it. Took me a half an hour and mine was finished.
dinzag 31
Man just tap the trunion and be done with it. Took me a half an hour and mine was finished. ...and if the tap breaks, or the threads strip, do as jtoddellis said & drill thru.
