joyride8 0
Hey all, i am new to the saiga world and recently came across the iz-407 model which i now own, i live in new york and i was wondering if i have to do a ful conversion if i want to change the front hand guard in order to add a rail system to it? i am looking to have a bottom rail up front. i am still trying to educate myself on ny state laws and all of the different configurations of these saiga's
Thesandman 0
I also have the 407. I am curious what you are planning to do with the forearm and how are you going to remove the front metal bracket for it. Also there is a metal ring that is wrapped around the barrel at the very front of the forearm. Will you be removing this as well?

HighPlainsDrifter 466
sunnybean is onto something, sell it and replace it! I asked about removing that dranunov stock. Here's the thread... http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/84146-legion-iz-447-forearm-gas-plug/ Do-able but why when what you want is still available? I will understand if you reply back with, "I am going to work with what I got". In that case I'm interested in what changes you do make. I was going to go this route and buy a similar model but decided against it. If the market stays the way it is and those Legions run out they may get valuable. If they (politicians) start messing with import laws you maybe sitting on gold... Edited January 22, 2013 by HighPlainsDrifter
