mman 0
I just read an article in the local paper about how ALL of the gun shops in the area have been completely overrun and over whelmed with customers. This is nothing new to most of us here and "in the know." In my own personal experience, I started trying to buy hours after the SHES incident... I was already too late. It has not been nearly this bad since Obummer got elected... The article made mention that MOST of the weapons and accessories that have been flying off the shelves were the so called "Assault" type.... i.e. anything that might soon be illegal. It als mentioned a fantastic surge in NEW/FIRST-TIME buyers. All sorts of people have been coming out of the wood work to buy a gun. THe article quoted once of the first-time customers when he was asked what he was looking for, he said "What won't I be allowed to have? I want it." I have seen it first hand. I have been to no less than 4 area gun shops and there is nothing much left on the shelves other than revolvers and bolt action deer rifles. I have even been approached by 2 people at work (I guess I am the resident "gun guy") asking about what kind of guns would be good for a first buy. This SHOULD be a huge wake up call... Like it or lump it, people WANT their guns and they are saying it loudly with record breaking sales.

A revolver or a bolt gun... Both are dead simple, easy to operate, and as you said.... available. This SHOULD be a huge wake up call... Like it or lump it, people WANT their guns and they are saying it loudly with record breaking sales. Yep... It should be... I am STILL offering *FREE* NRA or GOA memberships... So far only 1 taker...

patriot 7,197
The memberships are cheap. That's a big part of what's wrong right now. Everyone wants someone else to pay for things. It's time to step up, folks. Here's a link to the big pro-gun orgs: http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/83838-gun-rights-membership-applications/
