Well today was the day I started off with a factory take off Front Sight Block and chopped it down I then shaped it on the bench grinder to fit against the factory Saiga Gas Block Im still working on my welds, so dont bash lol Here she is with the welds cleaned up And now the finished product Quote Link to post Share on other sites

presto_z 125 Posted January 21, 2013 Author Report Share Posted January 21, 2013 That one was dimpled, some of the older ones are pinned on. I prefer when they are pinned lol. I don't know if I'm going to install this one, it was more of a test. I may make another one with non dimpled parts. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
Big John! 2,062 Posted February 6, 2013 Report Share Posted February 6, 2013 Cast can be mig welded on non stuctural things like this, but other steps need to be taken when welding it in an application that actually needs any amount of structural support.
