Saiga Envy

Recommended Posts

As we all know me and my son shoot the Saiga in practical shooting matches, well at the last match one of the other competitors (870 guy) really made a few low comments to my son. I was proud of him for not telling the Jack_ _ _ what he thought of him. I wish the guy had said it to me. Now not to brag but if you ever saw Eric he is respectfull and extreamly safe. The kid will listen to advise, he's just an all around good kid. At any rate I think it was a case of Saiga Envy I hope he says something to me at our upcoming match.

By the way Eric smoked Mr. 870 and his extra long magazine tube.

John,

Tell Eric that he is not obligated to change Mr. 870 diapers and continue to kick ass in competitions.

what the hell did the guy say? sounds like most people I encounter in my

area.

as for the 870, the wingmaster I own I dont particularly like :) I guess it shoots ok, but Iva had a few jams with it when pumping it while turning fast, and have the same thing happen with my mossberg. the saiga hasnt done it once under the same circumstances, so as far as Im concerned....

your mr 870 guy doesnt know shit

I'd listen to Eric (and have before) long before I listen to the mentioned JackF**k. Eric knows his stuff but doesn't make it obvious that he knows more than others. His confidence, knowledge, and modesty will take him farther in life than JackF**k ever could dream of. I'd not worry much about it. Just keep beating his ass in competition and he'll learn to keep to himself.

i've shot with eric on numerous occasions at several matches and he has always displayed the utmost respect for others and attention to detail as it relates to both competition and safety, he's a fine young man and i look forward to shooting with him and his father in the future.

Guys I was just proud that he did showed restraint and did not sink to the same level as MR.870, the truth is I think that some people who have shot shotguns all thier lives really don't like the Siaga any number of reasons. I think old time shotguners see the end of thier era as the Saiga moves to the fore front of competitive shooting. These young kids that are shooting Saigas today will domonate 3 gun in the future no question. Although it may not be the Saiga on top of the heap by then but a Mag fed shotgun will. Who knows if that Saiga Swat is all I think it is, Saiga will rule the roost for a long time. But with success comes copy cats. You can bet Benelli and Remington will be coming out with mag fed semi-autos some day.

my point is the tube magazine will start to fade, people are starting to see Saiga's and like what they see, I'll tell you one thing as slow as I shoot I could never keep up with a Saiga using a pump or other semi-auto.

I know there are pros out there who can load very fast with speed loaders but once these kids today get twenty years of practice under thier belts with the Saiga Swat style or just the Regular Saiga style guns they will be just as fast or faster. Records are made to be broken.

Plus there is the comradery of the Saiga community, you guys are great.

You young guys should start a thread and get to know each other, exchange tips and start shooting and get your parents involved. (WITH YOUR PARENTS PERMISSION OF COURSE)

Long Live TEAM SAIGA

I don't own a saiga, but my b-day is coming up. :eek::devil::lolol:

My parents know about he guns (all of which are russian designed, accept one a yugo M48 so that counts as german designed...), and have no problem with them. :zorro:

What a low class dirtbag. Glad your son showed he was the bigger man. Why Mr.870 would be anything but supportive of a young up and comming shooter is beyond me. Around here, the young guys get a big round of applause when they finnish a stage.

Being of the younger generation (20) i always get encouraged to become more active with what i'm doing with my firearms (skeet mostly for now) and when older shooters realize that i'm pretty much a self made shooter (first one in the family to own guns) they find it hard to belive that there are still kids out there like me.

i'm not trying to toot my own horn mind you, just adding my .02
