Im hoping they do nothing, so my FOID becomes a defacto CCW permit. We already have a background and permit system in place through FOID, so I dont see how they could even try and do a second system. The local sheriffs and police have stated that they will not prosecute CCW violations unless you are engaged in a crime. Hes a retired cop with lots of connections. Wasn't a problem but it looks like without one, you really can't do jack. Anyone else in the Springfield, IL area? Would be great to meet some folks & grow our network.
