shimaze 1
What is the difference between the two different style brake lock nuts? These are sold on CSS. It is not clear what the difference is between the two different style? Does anyone know? Have any experience with one or both pieces? I am trying to put an order together and I want to know a little about each one. Thanks, Shimaze RUSSIAN STYLE NON-RUSSIAN STYLE *pics are property of CSS*
poolingmyignorance 2,191
The hex one allows for more angles to hold with a wrench and increased surface area allows for torque to be applied easier. The round can only be tightend from 2 angles, however it's slimmer in profile and some people find its appearance less intrusive on the build.
thebuns1 4,323
Yeah one's a Russian copy and the other is not. Pretty obvious. One will not give you any better performance over the other. Its more or less just an personal preference. Plus what Pooling stated above.
