FloridaGun 0
I just bought this.... http://centerfiresystems.com/VSB308-20-01.aspx I have 30 M1A/M14 20rd. Mags. How do I make the Vepr accept these mags? Thank you.
haugpatr 972
I don't think you can easily make the VEPR accept those mags. I think I saw a listing on Gun Broker once that used M14 mags and it looked like someone got creative with a welder. Your best bet would be to buy CSSpecs 20rd mags as it would not be advisable to Bubba up a VEPR IMHO.
ShadowFire 220
You need the tab and the right angle. Which means, light (very light) grinding, measuring, checking angle for feed and either brazing or welding along with either more grinding to make the tab or machining to make the tab. If you don't have machine shop skills, I would not advise trying.
FloridaGun 0
I have done some metal work before and have some welding skills. I might be able to pull it off, I would like to just pay someone to do it. Provided its quality work, I would pay well for it to be done.
GunnArt 0
From what I've read, it sounds as if it's better to modify the M14 mags to fit the vepr. Can anyone confirm or deny?
csspecs 1,987
I'd imagine that you could weld the front and back tabs on M-14 mags and have them work. The rifle itself really should have blocks installed to prevent the feedlips from bending, as AK pattern rifles with their heavy bolt assembly, do put a lot of strain of the magazine feed lips during cycling. zagumennyyilya 51
You can always buy pro something mags that are a direct copy of the m14 mags but made to be used in a vepr , but I think the csspecs mags are way better, so pick your poison.
FloridaGun 0
I was hoping to have interchangeability with mags between my m1a and vepr. If I can't have that then I will be forced to go with csspecs. I would need 15 at least. Obummer will prob ban em by the time I can get them though.
midwestbatman 0
I just bought my first vepr 308 and I am having a hard time finding mags. Anyone know how or where to buy them?
gazpacho 5
Ccspecs makes the best for all purposes The Promag magazine is good, especially for range work.
