Kyle was no doubt a great American hero and his tragic death is saddening to all of us. How he went out is definitely some SHIT!

I only wish all of our fallen, or forgotten, heroes were honored this much. I'm going to take a minute of reflection to honor the sacrifices of those that have given the ultimate in the name of our freedom. This subject has touched my family personally and I was humbled by the outpouring of the local community.

What a load of crap. Ron Paul tweet: “Chris Kyle’s death seems to confirm that ‘he who lives by the sword dies by the sword.’ Treating PTSD at a firing range doesn’t make sense.”

May Chris Kyle rest in peace.......................but there have been A LOT of great patriots that have been lost. To me he felt kinda like a "sell out" and NOT the quiet professional he was supposed to be. It seems as if he took the propaganda role that Pat Tillman refused to take.

You can look at it that way.

Or you can look at it as Petty Officer Kyle shining a light on the service of all. One of the biggest problems we have in the country is that the general population lives their selfish lives with no awareness of the sacrifices our men and women are making every day.

BTW, it might be viewed as somewhat hypocritical for a dude that uses his veteran status as his user name to point a finger at another vet and accuse him of using his veteran status as a "sellout".

But Im not trying to profit from my veteran status. I also used the word "kinda" to just point out that he WASNT a full sellout. I respect what he has done for us and he will be missed.

+1

Well said. How soon we forget what the few like Kyle have done for the many. I hope before my day comes I have the opertunity to return the favor for people like him. I am not a vet or a police officer or anything like that, I am a simple man that wouldn't hesitate to give my life in an effort to save another's.

RIP Kyle and know that one day, how you died may be forgotten but what you have done for all of us will assure that how you lived will always be remembered.

He didn't sell out IMO. An independent author was planning on releasing a book about him, instead he released one before it got published. 100% of the proceeds from American Sniper are to be donated to the families of his two friends, fallen SEALs. He was pretty humble in his book and equally humble in any interview I saw.

Rest in peace, Chris. I thought it odd when they said the Producer of FPS Russia Keith Ratliff had died, but this makes my head turn.

Strangely, according to The Star Telegram, ”witnesses told sheriff’s investigators that the gunman opened fire on the two men around 3:30 p.m., then fled in a pickup truck belonging to one of the victims. The sheriff’s department didn’t get a call until around 6 p.m.

The Noveske murder has me baffled, because of his last FB post:

Eric Harris age 17 (first on Zoloft then Luvox) and Dylan Klebold aged 18 (Columbine school shooting in Littleton, Colorado), killed 12 students and 1 teacher, and wounded 23 others, before killing themselves. Klebold's medical records have never been made available to the public.

Jeff Weise, age 16, had been prescribed 60 mg/day of Prozac (three times the average starting dose for adults!) when he shot his grandfather, his grandfather's girlfriend and many fellow students at Red Lake, Minnesota. He then shot himself. 10 dead, 12 wounded.

Neal Furrow (Prozac) in LA Jewish school shooting reported to have been court-ordered to be on Prozac along with several other medications.

Kevin Rider, age 14, was withdrawing from Prozac when he died from a gunshot wound to his head. Initially it was ruled a suicide, but two years later, the investigation into his death was opened as a possible homicide. The prime suspect, also age 14, had been taking Zoloft and other SSRI antidepressants.

Alex Kim, age 13, hung himself shortly after his Lexapro prescription had been doubled.

Diane Routhier was prescribed Welbutrin for gallstone problems. Six days later, after suffering many adverse effects of the drug, she shot herself.

Billy Willkomm, an accomplished wrestler and a University of Florida student, was prescribed Prozac at the age of 17. His family found him dead of suicide – hanging from a tall ladder at the family's Gulf Shore Boulevard home in July 2002.

Kara Jaye Anne Fuller-Otter, age 12, was on Paxil when she hung herself from a hook in her closet. Kara's parents said ".... the damn doctor wouldn't take her off it and I asked him to when we went in on the second visit. I told him I thought she was having some sort of reaction to Paxil...")

Yes you are right.....I was talking out of my ass. I was comparing him to Tillman before really knowing anything about him.

I dont agree with Ron Paul's "live by the sword, die by the sword." comment. However, I think he makes a valid argument that PTSD is still in its early stages of research and understanding. Just like concussions in the NFL cane be related to suicidal actions (Junior Seau), PTSD could cause irresponsible actions that could cause harm to yourself or others. It is a tragedy for sure and I think more effort needs to be made to diagnose and treat PTSD. I am not sure handing a loaded gun is a good answer and I think Ron was attempting to say,

Paul was saying what he has repeated like a parrot........that we don't belong in foreign lands and wars. He was implying Kyle was a victim for having participated. Paul goes to extremes and reaches too far when it comes to foreign policy. He needs to disappear from public life and let Rand carry the ball. Rand is better balanced than the old man. He never would have said such a stupid thing as Ron did.
