koldar 0
Hello, I am working on a conversion for my S12. I purchased an ATI Fiberforce stock for it to go with my CSS trigger guard. The two don't seem to want to fit together well, There is about a 1/8 inch gap between the back of the receiver and the stock when I have the grip nut screwed into the trigger guard. There is also a gap between the bottom of the receiver and the stock. This doesn't seem right to me. I think the stock should fully seat against the back of the receiver. Has anyone else ran into this problem? Easy solutions for this problem? I'm adding pictures to help... Thanks, K Edited February 5, 2013 by koldar
Bayoupiper 738
I have not seen a single ATI stock that didn't need to be Dremeled to fit correctly. I had to re-profile the area behind the trigger guard to get a snug fit. I'd bet that's your problem too.
Terminator03 18
Is this the thumbhole stock that they make? If so this thread is of interest to me because that is the one I am considering if I don't go with the Kushnapup since I live in a AWB state and can't have an evil pistol grip all by itself without being attached to the stock. I would say that you will need to carefully mark some areas of interference and carefully file, or Dremel it to get the profiles to match better. That fit would be completely unacceptable to me! misterT 174
I have one of these that I took off of my MAK90 and I did take a few measurements to see if it would fit on an S12 (not that I would have just wanted to see if it would fit) it did seem to be a bit narrow at the bottom and in the rear corners where it mates up to the receiver. I thought a wood chisel might be handy to open it up a little!
