MAKAK47 21
Not that it matters here in a bit since my alternate stock is on its way, but has anybody who still has the original stock on experienced the stock becoming loose?
vette447 11
Yes. One of mine is a bit loose. It came that way. I am still deciding which stock to swap out on mine while I am searching for the original Russian folder. Which one did you decide one?
chevyman097 2,579
Ya, mine did that too. Crappy stock, i got rid of it.
bruce soderholm 4
Mine was loose too ,the wood its made out of is very soft. I think thats why they changed some out with the tapco's.
MAKAK47 21
Bonesteel folding M4 stock, waiting on the Magpul CTR to show up
Aries144 10
Mine was very loose. It reminded me of a very beat up Romanian SAR-3 that I cleaned up for a friend once. I solved it the same way: wrapped the stub in aluminum foil, oiled it, tapped it in with a mallet, and trimmed the excess foil off. It isn't the ideal solution, but it works.I'm looking forward to something around the same length, but with more surface area at the butt, and maybe a recoil pad. That sharp, small stock punishes a little more than necessary.
Sigurd 3
Mine too is loose. Trying to decide on the left or right folding Bonesteel stock.
MAKAK47 21
my right side folder should be here by Saturday, hopefully I can install it and get a good impression. So far I'm liking the way the left folder works, makes me wonder if I should've got that one instead.... oh well
Aeromat209 24
Left side won't conflict with the charging handle . Unless you weld on a left side charger but reall with the BHO one does not have to use the charging handle like you do on a HK without Bho
Muffman 54
I'm a right sided folder myself. A folding stock's primary purpose is for transportation purposes. For transportation right side folding is better. It is away from the body if carried on the side, and if folded and on your back it is away from the body. If there is any chance that the firearm might need to be deployed, it should already be unfolded. Firing a weapon folded is for movies.
MAKAK47 21
I have the bonesteel galil style right side folder warsaw length for one of my AK-74's, you can fire it like that or easily flick it back with your fingers, I really really like the design of it
DresNightfire 39
replaced mine with a bonesteel ar folder and magpul str
MAKAK47 21
Just got my bonesteel folder yesterday, its the right side folder and it does NOT interfere with the charging handle, and I found I can actually manipulate the safety with the stock extended out. However its easy to flip it back into place so there's really no reason to fire it unfolded. The stock locks up solid, the only thing I'm hating right now is the temporary collapsible stock on it, because its rattling around like no other and I want my damn Magpul CTR stock to show up! TheGreenPotato 0
replaced mine with a bonesteel ar folder and magpul str How is that working out for you? Does it fold correctly?? I'm wanting to put the ACS-L on one, but I think it's too wide
MAKAK47 21
Here's mine, I found that I do actually prefer the right side folder because the charging handle sticks out and having the folder on the same side keeps it from ripping into the carry cases I use. You can manipulate and fire the shotgun like this, however I haven't tried and don't really care that much to do so. The current stock on there is temporary until my Magpul CTR stock gets here. I was shooting at the range today... I seriously think I'm in love with this shotgun!
