Saiga and Zombies

Recommended Posts

Just some FYI, I read this wonderfully interesting book about surviving zombie attacks and continued preparedness. I thought you all might like to know that the author favors the AK type rifle (and variants) over all other firearms for meeting this type of threat.

The author favors the AK because of its absolute reliability, ability to hold a high capacity magazine, its overall acuracy, performance and average size/weight. He adds that an AK outfitted with a solid stock and steel buttplate would prove very handy in addition to the AK's ability to accept a bayonet. The only downside the author could think of, was that military ammunition might be hard to come by on the run, and that large quantities of ammo would be very heavy to carry. I dont think the author ever heard of the Saiga.

Anyone utilizing a Saiga in .308 .223 or shotgun guages would be able to find ammo at any sporting goods or hunting store. Most common hunting ammunition could also be found in abandon homes during desperate situations.

The book states: "If imitation is the highest form of flattery, then no other rifle in the world has been flattered more than the Russian designed AK47."

Dam she's hot!! Every one should check out that one. But all bs aside this zombie thing is really happening I was reading Maxim December's issue and on page 46 theres an article on Doctors bringing back dead dogs by draining the blood and replacing it with a saline solution and freezing them then jumpstarting them after they are thawed. " most of them are fine but some are having mysterious behavior issues." The Doctors plan on using this on the battle field to buy time for wounded, techically the men would be dead for x amount of hours before being brought back. Do you guys think this is a medical break through or a abomination? Who would try it? I have not formed an opinion on this since I never been in combat. I dont know of any infection that could spread or any hollywood nonsense. But this shit is pretty scary.
