obiwanbonjovi 337 Posted February 9, 2013 Report Share Posted February 9, 2013 you would need to replace the rear trunnion, and would need all the latch hardware. It is a very expensive difficult conversion, however the finished product is sweet. Rumor has it the next batch will have wleded open svds stocks on them, so you may want to wait and purchase a new shotgun if they become available. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

The SVDS rear trunnion would need to be filed down to fit into the VEPR receiver, so I opted to have the stock installed on an SGL-31. Ended up ordering a Bonesteel folder for the VEPR, although I would have really liked to have a legit Russian folder. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
varickm 10 Posted February 9, 2013 Report Share Posted February 9, 2013 (edited) There's a lot of work involved. Black Forge did it with a slant back 5.45 Vepr. It was very nice, but it would be much easier to use the correct trunnion set. Rusmilitary offers them, but they are currently sold out. vette447 11 Posted February 11, 2013 Report Share Posted February 11, 2013 I wonder if there is any truth to the rumor about the guns coming in with welded open folding stocks? I saw the video on youtube where the Rep from Wolf was showing one with a welded folding stock. Sounded like this was prior to any of them being imported. Then we got the turd "place holder" stock when the guns actually showed up. I would prefer the correct folder if they started coming in that way. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
