Capt Nemo 882
Will the Phoenix tri rail forearm handle the stress of a Cobray M203 37mm flare launcher? Thinking of moving it from my AR to the Saiga, but don't know if the handguard can take it. Might have to clamp it to the barrel.
Nephilim7 107
I have a Phoenix Technology tri rail forearm on my S12. I really like it, but it does flex a bit. It may work on the bottom rail area if the rail sections were replaced with aluminum sections and fastened with larger grade 8 fasteners with locktite. I bet those tiny little OEM screws won't hold up. Show pics when it's done!
Capt Nemo 882
Well looking at things last night, I'm going to have to mill a barrel clamp. But the rear mount should be able to rail mount and have enough support to not rip things off when fired. Rats!!! I'd need a magwell and drop free magazines, or a shorty M203 to work. Well, here's a pic. http://i1336.photobucket.com/albums/o660/Dewit2it/Saiga/IMG_2504_zpsefcc84d6.jpg?t=1360512138
Nephilim7 107
Looks cool! I bet you can get a "cheap" mag well from a forum vendor. Look into it! I have seen pics of an S12 mounted similarly to that under an M4. Made me drool, but I bet the weapon is ridiculously heavy.
