It's IMPOSSIBLE to weld h&k sights on the gb with out a little bit of warping. That's just the nature of the process. i dunno, my bad ass mufffler welder buddy (who is also a card carrying Russkie) did some hk sights on mine, and had no issues. he welded it farther back on hte block...no problems (or maybe i just didnt see them)... Well a little bit doesn't mean that it will necessarily interfere with fit or operation of the weapon. But it's impossible to completely avoid any draw from weld, as such contraction and distortion is the nature of cooling puddles of metal. It really boils down to how much heat, in how much area, for how long, how quickly was it allowed to cool, and what measures did you take to reinforce the work piece before welding.
