Saw something similar at the gun show today. Saiga 20 with red painted internal dust cover and safety, with magwell and 2 clear 14 rnd mags with wood epoxied on. It had a polished bolt/carrier that looked like someone went nuts with a mototool, and also had a modded charging handle that was sloppily welded. Price $1175.

You guys obviously don't appreciate art.

That is art like child porn is production theater...

And in NY, Both will soon be illegal. (Saiga's and child porn)

Unfortunately - production theater will live on...

Mikhail just rolled over in his grave.

Since when was he dead? huh.png

Lol! I just assumed. Let's hope he doesn't see this, or it will send him there.

Indeed, that's gotta be one of the ugliest paint jobs I've seen.

And unfortunately, I don't think he's far off, he recently celebrated his 93rd birthday.

I'd like to give him $1700 and a round trip ticket to FL. I would pick him up at the airport, go to the shop so I can get the "weapon", and then go to my house. I would start my camera, sit him down in a chair, and make him watch as I cut it down the middle with a rebar disc on my concrete saw. I just want to put that thing out of its misery. Tasteless.

Artwork is subjective, that's a given. Subjectively speaking, I've seen worse alleged artwork for substantially more money but this one was in the running. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder of course, so I can only assume there's at least one person in the world who believes the aforementioned weapon is a work of art. Either that or the seller/builder just happens to be a color blind, minimally skilled, ripoff artist. Either way, the volume of bids suggests rejection of his particular concept, no doubt.
