im_n2_vws 28
It's either a case of he was lied too or mis-informed when he bought it, or he is trying to pull a fast one on somebody. I contacted the person who created this add about what he was claiming it to be. We'll see how that goes. Check it out. http://www.armslist.com/posts/1100871/phoenix-arizona-rifles-for-sale--saiga-legion-arsenal-ak47-threaded-barrel
Shandlanos 1,470
Similar to the ad we have for a "Tromix" saiga-12.
canoecanoe 63
Looks like it is a converted SGL10. Front end by Legion/Arsenal, back end by end buyer. Don't know about the front sight and threads.
im_n2_vws 28
Well, I knew it wasn't an sgl2161. It wouldn't have the plugs in the holes in the receiver for the extra trigger pins. I knew the threads were wrong too. I just would hate to see someone to pay $2000 for a home converted Saiga. I was thinking that it was a sporter imported by Arsenal. Converted by this guy trying to pass it off as an sgl2161.
joelrod47 373
Similar to the ad we have for a "Tromix" saiga-12. This guys ad should have read "TROMIX FAKE" in the main thread title........ As we all know, using a bunch of TROMIX parts in a home conversion does not make it a TROMIX gun..... Purposeful misrepresentation........
dubya 198
I sent him a message asking a bunch of questions, hopefully he'll answer back i want to see if he's lying. Off topic but i traded a Kimber Montana 25-06 that i had painted at home myself, had exactly 64 rounds through it and the guy i traded it to put it on GB. Well a buddy on another forum seen his ad on GB and the guy stated "new in box never fired Kimber Montana blah blah bah". Well my buddy recognized the paint job and went on to ask him wgo painted it and he claimed he sent it to a custom shop in California... I SPRAY PAINTED IT IN MY BASEMENT! We know it was the same guy because he went by the same name on the forum and GB. Cant trust anyone these days...
im_n2_vws 28
He has not respnded to me either.I thought it was funny he mentioned the rare difference in the threaded muzzle compared to other sgl2161's. I always try and be respectful, because you never know but they may have been misinformed or lied to when they bought it. I tried to to be nice to a guy one time trying to sell a preban MAK90. I explained to him that there were technically no preban MAK's. He got nasty with me, and told me to mind my own **ckin business and that I knew nothing about ak's or mak's. The last time I spoke to him I sent him a couple links to pages showing the differences in pre and post ban ak's, and that was the last I heard od him or his ad. LuPiN8oR 333
I know this is raising a semi older thread but did anyone else notice his scope rail was broken at one end? Hahahaha! Edited March 14, 2013 by LuPiN8oR
im_n2_vws 28
He never did get back to me with my questions.

LuPiN8oR 333
Just wondering but how on earth could someone actually break their scope rail? That s.o.b is tough as hell!
mancat 2,368
He's only partially lying or misinformed. It's not an SGL21, but it is an SGL10 - early Arsenal Saiga import/conversion, before they received non-sporter receivers. Oddly enough it does look like someone cut the 24mm collar off of the FSB. Otherwise it's clearly an SGL10.
dubya 198
Just wondering but how on earth could someone actually break their scope rail? That s.o.b is tough as hell! Where is it broke? It looks 100% intact to me.
thebuns1 4,323
Arsenal also included a coupon for a discount with these rifles for an ass end conversion. They prolly done it, since the trigger guard looks riveted. Def. looks like an SGL10. Not worth the steep price tag IMO.
LuPiN8oR 333
Zoom in on pic #2 and look at the rear...that bitch is broke as hell lolol!
dubya 198
Not broke.. looks like it was used and a little paint rubbed off along with a crappy picture make it look a bit different but it's not broke.
LuPiN8oR 333
Hmm... it looks like it is to me but then again im lookin at it on my phone so i could be mistaken

im_n2_vws 28
He's still trying to sell it, but this time without those pesky pics to get in the way. http://www.gunlistings.org/arizona-gun-classifieds/phoenix/rifles/134631/saiga_arsenal_legion_ak47_threaded_barrel
mancat 2,368
not only are the pics still there, but the rifle is STILL an Arsenal - the seller just doesn't realize that it's an SGL-10.
im_n2_vws 28
His new ad says "they won't let him post pics" I asked him to send me some pics, but haven't heard from him yet.
im_n2_vws 28
I asked him for a couple pics, a couple of days ago, And I finally got a response from this guy. He jumps my shit for asking for pics 2 days ago and not responding to him? Both of his first 2 emails went to my Spam folder. I told him he had a sgl10 and not 2161.His response to me was the extra holes above the pistol grip were to ad the folding stock to it that was on it when he bought it. He says he contacted Arsenal and gave them the serial to confirm what he has. I'm not evan going to respond to him again. But Armslist contacted me and said to be aware that his ad was tagged as a scam Edited April 3, 2013 by im_n2_vws
