Mudsock 0
I got this vented gas tube to hack up and put AK hand guards on my S-12. Is there an advantage to using this vented gas tube on my WASR-10 and then hack up the WASR-10's gas tube for the S-12 project?
pistonring8 1
My experiance has been that the vented gas tube just keeps the rifle a little cleaner inside. I never noticed any major differance in performance when switching from a non vented tube to a vented one.
hoop762 0
+1 on what pistonring said... from what i have heard, the gastube vents are much more functional for use in full auto fire. The vents help relieve the pressure in the tube so the return trip of the gas piston will be uninterupted. The vented gas tube does keep internal parts much cleaner, and keeps the gas tube cooler too
jon elia 0
also just to throw this out there...except for some hungarian guns i've seen most of the time a vented tube was used with a non vented gb, and a non venter tube was used with a vented gb
