Anubis 38
I would rather not have the ATF classify the MKA as a DD...
haugpatr 972
I would rather not have the ATF classify the MKA as a DD... They didn't make that classification for the S12, why would the MKA be different? Edited March 23, 2013 by HOG76
Anubis 38
They didn't make that classification for the S12 because they had their own problems at the time.

Anubis 38
It's been done. There's a reason it hasn't gone to production.
1919 Shotty 2
Is that a saiga drum?
Matthew Hopkins 1,065
Sitting here thinking , why doesn't somebody come out with a 20 or 25 round drum for the mka found out long ago, that wishing for someone to make something you want, is wishful thinking. if you want it, all it takes is the gumption to go and do it yourself, and a bit of ingenuity. they don't make a PPS 43 drum, but I made one they don't make a 100 round AK .223 drum for the SAR/WASR 3 series, but I made one they don't make a 100 round drum for the AK74 (5.45x39), but I'm 90 percent there making one. just got a couple of bugs to work out internally. Anubis 38
Yes it's a Saiga drum. Takes about 3 minutes of work to make it run.
1919 Shotty 2
Do you think if I sent my saiga drum and an mag for the akdal, could you combine the two for me? I would love one, and I already have the mags, I just need the fitting done, and I don't have the time or tools. I would love to pay for the work if you would do it for me. KIRCH76 12
I take it that it does not function correctly or this would have been a big break for the mka
Anubis 38
It does function correctly, but because of the reasons I stated before we will not produce a drum,
KIRCH76 12
is there that much of a difference between a 15 round mag and 20 round drum though?
Anubis 38
Not in my opinion no, but honestly I've always felt drums are less reliable so I avoid them as much as possible.
Flatland Shooter 22
It's been done. There's a reason it hasn't gone to production. Totally off topic, but is that Corvette any relation to the bits and pieces Jim posted pictures of years ago? Bill Edited March 24, 2013 by Flatland Shooter
1919 Shotty 2
I didn't notice it, but that Corvette looks like the speed racer car to me.

Montana3gunner 13
Ok..back on the original topic, which is of considerable interest! Anubis, there are stages in 3 gun where that extra 5 rounds are a big deal. If that thing runs, I would love to have one. PM me options! Much appreciated.
1919 Shotty 2
I would also love a PM with options.

Yeeb 3
I think Anubis was very clear in his stance on drums. But never fear, the free market will prevail. I am sure another company will step up to the plate and service the demand.
