Spetnaz Soldier 47 Posted March 31, 2013 Report Share Posted March 31, 2013 (edited) Hey guys im wondering if i bought this {Apex gun parts, AK trigger guard}, would i be able to instead of rivet it on could i just use allen head screws and nuts as if i would on a converted saiga trigger gaurd? how hard is it to rivet them on? jamesavery22 54 Posted April 2, 2013 Report Share Posted April 2, 2013 You can use socket head cap machine screws. I'm not a fan of using screws anywhere a rivet usually is. The receiver bends so anything bolted to it isn't going to last as long as the leaded rivets. If you do go with screws you'll have to mess with the nuts. lol... The holes closest to the hammer pin have very little clearance. You'd have to grind the nuts used there down for them not to mess with your FCG. The trigger guard rivets take the most force to press. They are still easy to do even with a just OK jig. I usually do them in pairs instead of all four together. 2 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
