Brian76 11
Looks like we are getting a Dick's sporting goods in West Des Moines, IA. I've never been in one and from what i've been reading on gun forums I probably never will.
semper299 284
They are fun to walk around in for a while, but alot of their stuff is overpriced.
Jpanzer 1,265
Way overpriced. Their camping, fishing, and general shooting supplies are neat to check out, but I don't remember actually buying anything there...
jwulf 179
Supposed to be getting one in Sioux Falls too, but I won't be shopping there. Scheel's is much better and keeping prices reasonable when they actually get guns and ammo in.
Venia 249
For representation they have shown thier customers, these Dick's don't deserve your money.
Sdustin 578
Yea we are also getting a Dicks in Gainesville GA and I don't think I'll be giving them much money.
jerry52 893
Down here they were the cheapest for wolf 223, and federal 556 if you needed to grab a few rounds until you main shipment came in. now they have nothing.
Big John! 2,062
I've got one nearby. There is nothing at all special about that store.

liberty -r- death 1,445
Dick's. Can SUCK it! I will never shop at that anti-2nd amendment since they pulled semi auto rifles, and refused to honor sales made for ordered rifles. I hope they go the way of the dinosaur!
Syndicate 812
it's shit quality stuff mostly and what I do what I can get for 20-30% less on amazon. Bring back Gallions Edited April 5, 2013 by Syndicate
uzitiger 193
Way overpriced. Their camping, fishing, and general shooting supplies are neat to check out, but I don't remember actually buying anything there... I bought a rain suit there and found out that Bass Pro Shop has the same thing for $5 less so I took my receipt back to Dicks and they gave me back the difference plus tax. They're out of ammo and when shipments come in, they're gone within an hour even with a three box limit in Mason, Ohio.
patriot 7,197
So... after reading this and other threads on Dick's, one can only come to the conclusion that virtually ALL of the people on this form DON'T LIKE DICKS.
Beretty 37
I bought a baseball mitt from Dick's last week. Luckily the local Dick's is located right next to a Bass Pro. I tend to spend my $ there instead of Dick's for camping/shooting/outdoor supplies. Although if possible, I try to support local gun shops. If possible meaning any ammo at all in stock. thebuns1 4,323
You aint missing anything by not going there.
bws1 58
There's several of their stores in my area and honestly, I wouldn't walk across the street if they were giving shit away. For everything I've ever been interested in, they've been way over priced.
Capt Nemo 882
No likey dicks! BIL got canned as store manager there, as he made the manager above him look like a know nothing dick!
jerry52 893
The one we have down here is next to Bass Pro and there ammo is always cheaper. They are now at the same price right now ,NOTHING! However wife looked at a Sig P238 last night at Bass Pro , She held it and liked it and I said we will take it but She said no. I asked Her why? and She said we can get it cheaper somewhere else. $779 Sig P238 Copper something. Looks like I will have a 380 in the family again real soon.

dubya 198
Anti 2A, grossly overpriced and they don't carry decent firearms or ammo (in my neck of the woods)
Vulcan 14
I dread going to Dick's because the guy who works in the lodge is great with firearms- just not people.

patriot 7,197
Cabela's is soooo much better! A store, a restaurant, and a museum in one! I make an afternoon of it every time I go.

It just so happens I agree with you 100% If you watch the specials you can get great deals and free shipping but you have to have the Card. Hunt Pheasants in Minnesota every Nov. They have a great store just north of Minneapolis
patriot 7,197
...and with my Cabela's Visa, I get a BUNCH of free stuff. Dick's can eat themselves.
jerry52 893
Got brick of Aguilia hi velocity 22lr 1700FPS 30 grain stuff with ammo box with about a month and a half ago. Never shot it before and found a 50 yards its the same as 1260 FPS Federal 22lr 36 grain. But I love the box.

Only place I've found 9mm the past 3 months.
