How far back did you cut for the stock adapter? Looks a bit more than 0.6". If you cut longer, did the adapter still fit well? I'm about to cut mine, and want to avoid a cracked lower, so if longer than 0.6 is possible, I'll push the limit of that.

Nevermind, duh. Just noticed you have a firebird lower, which would not need cut.

Here’s my MKA so far

GirlwithGun_zps6fef75bc.jpg

OK – not really, but I always like to see pics of girls with guns  biggrin.png

Here’s mine for real.  I have crappy camera equipment and I can never get the lighting right so these pics don’t look very good, but you get the idea.   I don’t shoot competition.  This is just a range toy for me and another gun that will allow me to one-up a group of shooting buddies that I get together with a couple of times a year.  I like projects and this has been a fun one so far.  The theme is OD green and I put DuraBake Desert Tan on the barrel sections under the shroud and the forend for a little contrast.

(More pics below)

Parts List:

Stock cut by T&N

T&N stock adapter, grip adapter, and trigger group.

T&N “shorty” forend with forward charging handle and matching shorty guide rod

Alumalite Saiga-12 barrel shroud mounted on a Tom Cole S-12 adapter from Cadiz Gun Works

Magpul CTR stock with Limbsaver pad

Hogue grip

Primary Arms T1 clone red dot on a Larue mount

Magpul mbus sights

CrossTac sling

I'll try and get some better pics soon.  These don't show the colors well at all.

How's the limb saver, just put one on the magpul ubr but haven't tried it yet.

So far works great.  I've only fired a few rounds through this gun with it, but I have the same Magpul set up on an AK and S-12 and I've shot the crap out of those guns with it.  Last time out with the S-12 I shot 50 - 60 slugs and there was no noticeable pain or bruising.

Is it just me or are those sights on backwards? Edit just note someone already mentioned. I don't have quality pics yet but here is a video with some mods I've done.

That Salem 6 hand guard is  priced right and looks good but I have my heart set on the T&N side chargeing fore guard.

Definitely a great feature to have on this shotgun

I finished my MKA 1919 – XN build and shot it for the first time yesterday. Now thay was fun a great shooter. I took the suggestions I found out on the web to use high brass high velocity rounds about 50 to 75 rounds to break in the gun. Shot the gun with the factory 5 round mags and a 10 round with no problems, shot 70 round overall. It was tons of fun to build even more to shoot. I used 3 inch – 1550 velocity – 3 shot to break it in and they worked well. I used this ammo because I found a great sale for 100 round box biggrin.png.
