No! They were there. Had a huge satellite equipped vehicle, the works but missed somebody planting 4-5 explosive devices? Guess they aren't doing so good, huh? I am sure though they will have to justify those 6 billion rounds of ammo and armored vehicles in the coming fallout.

Jihadists tend to follow up quickly with claims of responsibility so we should know within the next 24 hours if any of them purport to have done it. However, this seems not to be a kind of target they normally go after... they like to hit people at specific critical infrastructure like subways, airports, hospitals, government builds, etc. These devices also, to me, looked like they used black powder as the the explosive. Most jihadist groups make their own home-made explosives that are more powerful and less traceable to a purchase. I've gotta say that my initial gut reaction is that this was not a Islamic extremist attack and something else. What that else might be would be pure speculation and I ain't gotta clue.

CNN’s Nick Valencia is reporting that Boston police are on the lookout for a “darker skinned or black male” following today’s bombing at the Boston Marathon. Police were already on the alert for a yellow rental truck that was said to have been turned away from the race route.

While the government now seems to want to pin this on a “militia group” (guess it makes a good tie in with pro gun people) it was an act of terrorism regardless of who did it. Barry not wanting to call it a terrorist attack is like not wanting to say Voldemort, fear of the name is just stupid.

If it turns out to be some Saudi it is time we rethink our relationship with the kingdom seeing how some of their people have hit us from 9/11 to every battle overseas they can. The Saudi’s don’t have terrorist at home they export them everywhere else, might want to cancel some visas for this ally.

According to some runners/witnesses they had "heightened security" at the marathon, more than other marathons they had been to. They had even done a pre-race "drill" with bomb sniffing dogs, etc:

There is an AP report with warning a pamphlet from 2010 that DHS sent out warning of this very type of device. Looks like they need to stop stockpiling ammo and APCs and follow there own damn warnings. I saw a story today where King Obummer thinks that it related to tax day....WTF?

 

I wonder if there will now be a run on high capacity, 6 quart, pressure cookers.... I am sure that an anti- pressure cooker Bill is being written as I type this.

Well they're gonna hafta bann those preasure cookers so there prolly will be a run on em, at least the high capacity ones
