Light mount suggestions

Recommended Posts

I just fitted mine with a light...

First I had modded my forward handguard to have rails like the molot russian version, using magpul rail sections. Then I got a low-pro e series light mount and put a lumapower single 123 light in it...

Check out the pic thread for what my handguard looks like and then low pro's website for the e-series mount... if you are interested in more details after that, I will get some pictures of the final product posted.

I am very finicky about my light setups, I like everything low drag....

Picture of light head on - reflection of flash, not flashlight on. Flashlight is very bright, brighter than most surefires, but tiny. Great for Home Defense, Raids, etc.

This placement is prefect for my hands to do thumb activation. I also have this same flashlight with a remote switch on another firearm if you wanted a pressure switch.

I run a full Elzetta setup kn my AR and as soon as the Chaos quad drops i woll use the same with my VEPR, except i will go with the flood lens instead of the focused beam.

If you have never seen an Elzetta google the torture tests done with them on youtube. People who have nothing to do with the company literally shoot it with 00 buck to finally kill it after insane tests that broke a surefire much sooner. The company took it back and drilled the batteries out and replaced them and it still worked. The buck shot only destroyedthe batteries. Pretty impressive.

Then the company itself took the light and placed it in a tub of water and turned it on. No big deal, till they then stick it in the freezer and freeze it into a solid block of ice and it still runs. Then get it out and use it to hammer nails into a board with while they talk about it while it still works the whole time.

I like their mounts also.
