SgtRaven 531
Doctors consider Kalashnikov’s condition critical, but stable 24/06/2013ITAR-TASS The condition of legendary weapon designer Mikhail Kalashnikov, who has been airlifted to Moscow for treatment from Izhevsk, is normal after the flight, doctors told Itar-Tass. The Il-76 plane made the landing at Ramenskoye Airfield, Moscow Region, at 7:50 p.m. Moscow time. Kalashnikov was accompanied by doctors of the Centrospas detachment and the Centre for Disaster Medicine “Zashchita”. “His condition is normal after the flight. From the airfield he was delivered to the Mandryk Central Military Clinical Hospital,” an official of the Centre for Disaster Medicine said. Doctors said the condition of the weapon designer “is considered grave, but stable. He is in conscience”. Earlier, the Healthcare Ministry said Kalashnikov “has tromboembolism of pulmonary artery”. On May 17, Kalashnikov, 93, was hospitalized at the request of his doctor to monitor the condition.
