That was pretty funny, man I needed that. I must also say I feel the same way about them, that massive fuken grip is just unreal, I can't get my hand around it.

Just for you John, a little porn I got.

Ohh dear gawd. That's a sexy bitch.

Whatever I get must be Silver and Rosewood. I've never been able to pull the trigger on one as I've had other priority's as far as purchases and their usefulness. I wouldn't even want to carry said 1911 as I wouldn't want to fuck it up. I leave every day with my Glock hangin outta my back pocket, then just about toss it into my center console. I don't carry while I'm working as I feel there is nothing anyone would want a mile back into a quarry. Full time otherwise though. Even if I'm just watchin TV.

Hopefully some day I'll have the disposable cash to snag a 1911. Aside from the AR10 and AK47 that are next on my list, I have what I consider a well rounded ummm setup. Just waiting for prices to come down a little more and I'll snag an AK.

Great vid thanks!

First pass fail test on a handgun is how it fits the hands. Glock feels like brick.

If the sub2k didnt use glock mags I wouldnt own one.

Fortunately I was blessed with large enough hands that the grip problem is a bit better.

So it stays in the BoB with the sub2k.

Carry XD of course, good grip.

That is if I owned any firearms... which I dont... they are evil... least that is what MSNBC said... nonono.gifwhat.gif

I have a big penis, so the huge grip presents no real problems for me. 027.gif

Oh, I'll take mine in 10mm too. 022.gif

Striker fired pistols, to me, are ok. The glock trigger isn't bad. It isn't great, but it works.

I just like hammered pistols. I did like the glocks I've shot.

My only beef about the 1911 is the Defender model's reassembly. That damn catch is hard

enough to insert without the spring under tension, it's worse with it in there.

I got through about a minute and a half of that crap before the cringeworthiness caught up with me...

I've yet to have a problem or even an FTF with a Glock. So this kind of thing I take for what it's worth... Humor.

Well, Glock 29 daily carry weapon since 96, either as backup or CCW. Have a Springfield all Stainless V-10 officer 1911 if not in Glock mood. Either weapon used an undershirt holster or IWB. It's all different since last month. Picked up a Springfield XDS in 45. Put 300+ rds through it so far. 1/2 as wide as either. Got short stubby hands, just some weapons feel right, didn't have to (work on grip). Not sure what Springfield did with this pistol, yet really no recoil. 230 gr fmj's or defense loads. Quick 2nd shot fallow up. Actually can front pocket holster/carry this pistol in cargo pants/shorts. Great for outdoor outings. Or not near the hip/back stab with the IWB carry when sitting/driving.

I'm curious what Springfield was thinking on the XDS Grips. This thing will leave marks on your hand the texture is so aggressive.

IMP-XDS_1_a.jpg

Haven't seen that type of base on a mag, even the extended. I shoot non gloved, no marks. Even my 13 year old niece and daughter-n-law love it. Edges are not ruff, yet doesn't slip. Thumb palm doesn't really feel sore until around 50 round mark. Got full size 45's that "You Know" you have fired 50 rounds. Not pain during, just soreness after. Edited by Ruffian72

I guess one can always spray some of that bed liner like stuff on your Glock if you just refuse to wash the KFC off your hands smile.png I have a few different size pistols and I won't carry the 1911 unless I am open carrying and I vary rarely do that. I didn't buy the G17 for conceal either. So that leaves me with a couple .380's. I carry my Kel Tec .380 always and keep a full sized pistol in the vehicle. I know weight alone should not dictate your carry piece but this is the deep south and its hot... I just don't wear conceal friendly clothing for the heavier pistols.

But it is getting kinda sketchy lately so I might need to try a new carry. Maybe my PA64...

The XD grip is so far the most comfortable Ive ever used in a high cal pistol.

I am so pleased with the XD-40SW Sub-Compact as a carry weapon I just stopped looking at anything else. Not one failure to date.

Chose 40SW for availability in hard times and damned if it didnt work out, could still find it in limited quantities even 4 months ago.

10mm would have been nice but no sense in going to something hard to locate with limited models using it. Kind of like going to 300 win mag over 308 yeah its nice but expensive. Blame the FBI.

Just didnt work out for me, maybe the 4" would but I really love that massive 5" beast.

Accurate as hell too, but I think without the mass it would be a lesser firearm.

Maybe I will try it down the road, thanks.

I tried glocks. I even tried to like glocks. I just could not get around how bad they felt in my hands. So instead I went on a search for a polymer handgun that felt right. Ruger SR9 series did it for me. They feel like a part your hand and feature every safety innovation that glocks have as well as a few that they don't.

It goes without saying that if you own a 10mm glock, more than likely if you plan on keeping it you either reload or have a conversion barrel, I have both and really enjoy the 40 out of the G20, it is like silky smooth butter milk as far as recoil. Besides full power 10mm is a bit much for home defense and can definitely punch through walls alot easier than the other standard service calibers. The 40 has been nice to have since finding ammo has been a mute point for this gun, yeah 10 is hard to find but it will comeback, 40 is everywhere.
