I'm looking at buying a rifle by looking at pics only.

My concern is that it is a folder but when you unlock it to fold it, the stock actually comes off.

The stock was cut at pin mounting hinge to prevent it from folding. It would be just replacing stock to fix everything else is functional.

Is this legal? Or is it classified as an aow since it can actually be converted to pistol.

The little I know is it's ok to go pistol to rifle but not other way without tax.

My concern is legality of build or possible intent problems.

Opinions appreciated.

I think they don't like either

Rifle to pistol "doesn't meet minimum total length"

Pistol to rifle - "unless you got long barrel you always end up with. SBR"

But $200 tax stamp and either allowed

Has barrel extension to bring barrel length to 16 inches.

Is this what you're talking about?

That's about the idea.

What they did was cut the hinge so that it rolls out when open.

Does have pistol grip
