Yugopap4me 29
So ive been reading up on these two calibers and it seems that alot of people agree that the 5.56 has a greater velocity and that fragmentation is better than tumbling. I've heard that the 5.56 had a greater velocity because the case can hold more powder. Why doesn't someone just neck down a 5.56 casing to 5.45 and maybe cut some grooves around the side of the bullet so that it fragments once it tumbles? That way you get increased velocity and fast tumbling and fragmentation. Or have I had too many beers with dinner? Eta. Sorry sorry... Just saw the ammo section. Still learning my way around the site. Edited August 17, 2013 by Yugopap4me
