LuPiN8oR 333
Hi all, sorry to post yet another topic in here so fast but.. i was wondering if and how anyone here mightve touched up their night sights so they glow in the dark. Some sources say its tritium, but if thats the case it must be old and spent up. Just curious as id think itd be pretty damn neat to have them glow lol. Thanks again! mixednuttz 123
I did on my M85. Used some stuff from the duracoat guys.
LuPiN8oR 333
How does it work and hows it held up so far? What process did you do to apply it? Does it impact daytime shooting at all? Sorry just curious as im thinking to try this myself.
mixednuttz 123
I used a brush to apply it. (One of the little ones that are like really small q-tips. People use them for painting models.) It glows for a while. You'd never notice it during the day. As for how it holds up, my M85 is a 5.56 and hasn't seen too much use. Probably only has 100 rounds down the pipe. I can't really say much for durability. My other duracoat finishes have held up very well.

XD45 7,124
Do an internet search for tritium vial. Find somebody who has small ones. Buy some. Figure out a way to mount them. Here is a guy selling 1.5mmx6mm vials. You could mount the front one vertical on the flip up leaf and the rear one horizontal under the notch. Or whatever you can come up with. I have not done business with this guy. I post this only as an example of what's available. http://mixglo.com/vials.htm You can also buy a tritium front sight for $40-60.
